Champagne Houses open in December - Reims

Champagne Houses open in December - Reims
We will be in Paris from December 7th - December 22 - We want to take a day trip to Reims and I would love to visit a champagne house while there. Are there any open in December and any recommendations on which to visit. Also would love some suggestions on where to have a nice lunch. We will visit the Christmas markets and the cathedral

I can only suggest that you visit St Remi. I will go out on a limb and say that it is one of the best major churches I've ever seen. There are champagne houses in the general area of St Remi. I don't have more to offer, but I'm seriously pushing St Remi these days. I'm kind of surprised that it isn't mentioned more often.

I would check on days/hours as some of the ones open in December aren't open daily then. Also some of them require reservations.
St Remi Basilica is beautiful and it's located in the southern part of the city close to where many of the champagne houses are located. Many people visit the cathedral but miss this one. When we were there, it was empty except for us.
Chateau Les Crayeres is also located at the southern end of town and has two restaurants onsite, the more formal Le Parc and the more casual Le Jardin. We ate at Le Jardin the day we toured Ruinart and found it very conveniently located.
If you want something more casual, low key, there are many restaurants right in the center of the city not far from the train station. Two that we liked were Le Bocal, a great little (tiny actually) seafood restaurant that was upstairs of the fish market, and on the same street, La Table des Halles which was also good with more traditional fare but Le Bocal was our favorite out of 6 restaurants that we tried in Reims.
