CDG airport

I am arriving at CDG at Terminal 2F. I will need to go to baggage claim to collect 3 heavy suitcases. Can anyone tell me how far it is to the hotel shuttle pick - up on (CDG2) terminal 2 / TGV station at level 5, platform 2. ? What level is the baggage claim? Are there elevatorss?
Many thanks...

Terminal 2F, which we just transited through two days ago, is BIG and somewhat complicated. We didn't have checked luggage (is there a reason you have 3 heavy suitcases? That would be a nightmare for me).

What hotel shuttle? There are dozens. Getting to the TGV station in terminal 2 will take quite a bit of time - 2F is a schlep from the TGV station. Why are you going to the TGV station if what you're looking for is some hotel shuttle?

I don't know if there are elevators, but there are escalators galore.

You can google for detailed maps of CDG airport that have all these landmarks clearly shown.

Here's a detailed map of CDG airport, all explained for you, just scroll down to Terminal 2F:

If you haven't already booked and paid for a shuttle, you might think about following the overhead signs to the TAXI stand, which would be closer to the baggage area. Flat fees are in effect, now - either 50 or 55 EU, depending on your address, luggage included.

There are both elevators and escalators in Terminal 2F.

There is no "Terminal 2", only Terminals 2A to 2G. I understand that the hotel shuttles park at the TGV station. This station is right next to Terminal 2F, although this means you still walk several hundred meters from the 2F baggage claim to the TGV station.

There is also a free shuttle bus from Terminal 2F to the TGV station (line N1, just one stop, runs every 8-10 minutes).

Or you take a taxi from 2F to the shuttle bus parking lot. However, the taxi drivers will definitly NOT be happy to drive you such a short distance after they have waited for hours to catch a ride into downtown. A generous tip might help a bit.

How are you going to transport your 3 heavy bags? To my knowledge there are no skycaps or such. I think that passengers have to get their own luggage through the customs area before there is any "meeting" place as maybe for shuttle or a private driver. But someone else might comment on that much better than this.

Gretchen is right. There aren't any porters or skycaps to help you with your bags, and it's a fair schlep. At least we didn't see any two days ago, or any of the other times we've come through 2F in recent years.

The OP didn't ask anything whatsoever about skycaps or porters that I can see.

The baggage carts are free and there are a zillion of them available at every baggage delivery zone. I really cannot imagine having any problem transporting your bags to the shuttle zone. And of course there are elevators. This is a 21st century airport.

Actually I'd say that terminal 2 (as indicated on the RER B) includes 2A-2F and 2G is totally independent. You have to take a shuttle to go to 2G, whilst you can go from 2A to 2F on foot.

Anyway, you get the carts at the luggagage claim, then leave it at taxi stand. Going to a specific shuttle is not a good idea unless it is one of those free shuttles that go to hotels nearby.

If it is not the case, don't bother and take a taxi. No wait, no need to look for the place where they are waiting etc.
