Carnavalet Museum closing in October 2016

The Carnavalet Museum will only have a few exhibits open from now until October 2, when the entire museum will be closed for a major renovation project, estimated to take 3 years. Plans include installing access for people with mobility issues, improving security, lighting and signage, etc.

The exhibits concerning the French Revolution, the 19th Century and Belle Epoque have already been closed.

The Carnavalet Hotel, which houses the antique signs, and small exhibits from the 17th and 18th Centuries, will remain open until October 2. The garden is also accessible.
