Carlton Tower Hotel

Has anyone stayed in this hotel recently (or otherwise heard about it). I have reservations for the week between Christmas and New Year's but have been unable to find ANY information, good or bad, about it

Is this the Carlton Tower in Sloane Street? If so, then it's a 5 star hotel, with some excellent restaurants, in a great location. Used to be a Hyatt I think. I have stayed there, and have been to the restaurant (the Rib Room). There's also a rather nice fitness club with views over the gardens of Cadogan Place. Walton Street and Beauchamp Place, with lots of nice restaurants, are a short walk away.
The only negative I can think of is that the cheapest rooms are quite small, and if they're on a lower floor, on Sloane Street, can be a bit noisy.

Yes, it is the hotel on Sloane Street that was formerly a Hyatt property. I have stayed there years ago, in my searches saw that it was on the Conde Nast "Gold List" as recently as 2003, but has not appeared since. I was concerned that somehting had happened to the hotel.

We should be OK on room size and noise, as we booked a suite so that my wife and I could have privacy and out daughter could sleep "with" us and not ina room by herself. It was also less expensive than two rooms.

Thanks much for the feedback.

It certainly hasn't changed for the worse. As I understand it, the owners were not happy with the running of the hotel by Hyatt, and changed management. They also own the Lowndes, nearby.
There's a club next door, Monte's, were hotel guests can go. And there's also Grissini's now, an Italian restaurant.
Have a good time in London.
