Car rental Salzburg. Open on Saturday? Train station to airport?
Hi!
On our next fabulous annual adventure abroad, we will be arriving in Munich, staying one night, then staying 3 nights in Berchtesgaden before moving on.
The plan was to rent a car near the train station. However, my travel agent informs me that the car rental company is only open at the airport on Saturdays.
So. Here is the question: Are there other reliable car rental agencies that are open near the train station on Saturdays? If not, how far and tedious is it to get from train station to airport? And lastly, would it be better to rent a car in Munich and return it in Salzburg if the price is right?
Merci!

Do you mean the Munich train station?
Why don't you go to the AutoEurope web site and enter the city where you want to pickup the car and see what cars are available and if there is a rental car company open on Saturdays.
http://www.autoeurope.com/
You can also call them and ask questions about pickup locations. Then you can shop around for the best price.

Contact Gemutlichkeit Travel Gemut.com for car rental questions. One thing to remember is cars rented in one country and dropped in another get a stiff cross-border drop fee. If you are dropping in Austria it will most likely be cheaper to rent in Austria. Bob and andy Bestor at Gemut.com can tell you where to pick up a car.
