car rental avignon one day or hiring a driver

Could you recommend a car rental agency where I can rent a car for one day in Avignon centre (not the TGV station)? Is auto europe a good site?

Another idea is to hire a driver for the day. Not sure how expensive that would be.
Want to visit Roussillon, Gordes and Bonnieux.

Any advice is welcome. Thank you!

Autoeurope rentals require a 3 day minimum and would not be good option for a one day outing.

Only Avis has a rental car outlet at Avignon Centre.

There is a new shuttle train between Avignon Centre and Avignon TGV, where all of the rental desks are.

I wouldn't know what a private driver might cost, but I imagine at least 20 euro per hour or a couple hundred euro for the day. In fact, Autoeurope has a private driver/chauffeur section, doesn't hurt to get a quote from them.

Also, maybe you could ask your hotel if they know someone. Sometimes it's nice to get one that way as the driver doesn't want to get in trouble with the hotel if they refer business to them, so you might not have to worry of getting ripped off or them not showing up. It is also possible there is a small group van tour from Avignon that would visit those places, they are pretty popular. Those would be cheaper. I know the tourist office has some brochures on that, or again, your hotel might.

There are certainly plenty of places online where you can find companies that do this, like

in short, tons of options. YOu can get a rental car at the TGV station for about 50-75 euro for one day if manual, or around 100 euro a day for an A/T.
