car rental

I have heard good things about the company IdealRent which is based in Slovenia, so have attempted to arrange a car rental but no one in the company is getting back to me to book the rental. Has anyone dealt with this company, and if so, was it a good experience? Any one have suggestions of other companies to deal with if this one does not pan out?
We will be renting next June in Trogir and returning the car in Ljubljana after 9 days.
Thanks for your help.

Did any of the suggestions on your other thread work out?

I have heard some good things about the company on TripAdvisor but also that sometimes they are slow in getting back to you, so it can be frustrating.

The problem with renting in Croatia and returning in Slovenia as you probably know is the one-way drop fee you typically pay to drop a Croatian car in Slovenia. I believe IdealRent may not be a bad deal, but they do charge a higher daily rate when I have compared people's quotes to other companies who charge a drop fee but a lower rate.

You might try Sixt. They have offices in Croatia and in Ljubljana.

Otherwise, if you are willing to return the car in Croatia before heading on to Slovenia (by train, bus, or transfer company e.g. GoOpti) you won't have an issue with a steep one-way drop fee, and you can get a better daily rate, but you'll have the inconvenience of having to drop one car, take transportation to Slovenia, and pick up another car. But if you do that, there are plenty of car rental companies to choose from.

If you go via Zagreb or Rijeka, there are direct trains to Ljubljana a few times a day.

Try websites like EconomyCarRentals, Kemwel, and AutoEurope for rates within one country.
