Could anyone recommend a good website to go to compare car rental rates in Europe? We already checked Expedia and other US based agencies.
We would be renting from the Geneva Airport for 5 days. Then later in the trip, picking up a car in Toulouse, France and returning it in Nice 5 days later.
Also any way to get a bargain on an automatic rather than manual?

Hello, I've used Autoeurope several times and have always had a good experience. I have also done the Eurail drive/ride pass and that worked well. Autoeurope is a broker, so you pick up the car at an agency desk (Such as Hertz), not at a Autoeurope desk. I compared their prices to Hertz, Avis and a few others and found them to be the best. Be sure to read the small print when comparing prices - not all will include the CDW and other fees in the price quoted.
Oops, posted before finishing. Not sure how to get a good deal on an automatic, they are just not as common and so the price is higher. I got lucky on my recent trip - reserved a compact/manual and got a small mini-van (is that redundant?) that was an automatic. The convenience of the automatic trans. more than outweighed the increase in the gas bills.
