Car or Train for party of 6 through 2 weeks in Italy?!

Jump to last reply

Hi, travelling through Italy for 2 weeks with 6 adults this June, and was wondering whether train or car or a combination would be a better bet.
Heres our itinerary:
1 night in Milan
2 nights in the cinque terre or in Venice (not sure yet)
3 nights florence
4 nights on the Amalfi coast
4 nights in Rome

I would think hiring a car from Florence for the ac alone would be fine but the number of us travelling makes me wonder if a 6 seater car would be more economical.
Do let me know what you think.
Thanks.
