car hire Luton?

I haven't rented in the UK for over a decade - - is there any difference between the airport companies (this being at Luton, with National, Alamo, Budget, Enterprise, and others) or is it only about price (essentially, the question is: do any of them get nasty about insisting upon extra insurance, or are somehow really inconvenient, or otherwise make life miserable)?
