Car Hire / Broker Agencies Aquitaine to Provence

Hello,

My wife and I will be traveling to Aquitaine and Provence this June. Our journey begins in Biarritz and will end in Provence/Marseille. We will hire a car during our holiday. I am in need of suggestions for a solid agency. I have not seen good reviews on Argus or Nova.

I used Carjet in the past, however they do not offer one way options. I am all ears. Thank you for your help.

Blessings,

Turbokid

Try AutoEurope or Kemwel.

I'm surprised carjet are not offering one way rentals, as they have done in the past.

I'd suggest holidayautos.com or Europe By Car - there's also a great search engine at comparecarrentals.com

carrentals.com I think a lot of these companies have had complaints. For us, we just find what we think is a reasonable cost and go with it. We have used Nova, Car Rentals, Sixt, Auto Europe and a few others. Richard

Hi turb,

www.kemwel.com
www.easyterra.com
www.autoeurope.com

They are all affiliated. First class service. Easyterra might be the cheapest.

Enjoy your visit.

As Ira says, you are dealing with Auto Europe with the 3 above. However, look carefully at the amount of CDW and theft cover in your quote. I got a very good deal from Easyterra, but the deductables are quite high in case something goes south. I am going to use Easyterra shortly in Italy, but will probably buy excess cover from a third party insuror. The differences may not be as great with regard to France or other countries.

Keep in mind American Express has car insurance policies of $19.95 or $24.95. They take the deductable to 'zero', with an exemption [loss of use]. With our minor accident in Germany [2000euros] AX negotiated with the company and there was 'no cost' to us. Some countries are excluded from this insurance, as in Italy, Ireland and a few others. AutoEurope/Kemwel. With the AMEX $19.95 insurance policy. I've done more than 100 rentals with them and have nothing but good things to say about them.

carrentals.com and comparecarrentals.com do not show the same providers.

compare is more for the people travelling to europe, and carrentals.com is more geared for domestic USA rentals
