Capri Boat Tour/ Venice Walking Tour

I was quoted 350EURO for half day tour around Capri for 6 people(Private Tour). I am wondering if this is worth it. Is there a difference between just taking one of the boats in the Marina rather than get a private boat?

Also we are interested in doing a walking tour in Venice and was advice to book in advance. Can we just book the tours when we get to Venice or should we book in ahead of time? We will be going in the month of August.

Last but not the least , we will be needing a train from Venice to Naples (couldnt find a flight) if you know of any, please let me know. Can we get the train tickets in Venice via a travel agency?

Thanks in advance!

we were a family of 4 who took the boat tour around capri from the marina- ot a private tour. the sights are the same no matter what boat you are on...all go to the blue grotto, and everyone has to wait their turn to go in no matter what kind of boat tour you are with Our tour was far less expensive, and we thought it was a highlight. I would only consider a private boat if it were a long tour, and you were able to linger at some private beaches etc, picnic, or explore- if it just to see the island from the water, the bigger tour is fine, and save your money for something else. we loved capri!

ALPI EAGLES fly the Venice-Naples route:

Otherwise you can buy rail tickets at S. Lucia station.
Some travel agencies also sell rail tickets.

Hope this helps ...

You can also buy tickets online at www.trenitalia.com for the same price as in Italy.

I was in Venice earlier this month and just turned up for the Secret Gardens and the Frari tours. There were only about 8 for the first and about 5 for the second.
Perhaps it might be a good idea to book in August.
