We stayed at Le Pontot several years ago and enjoyed it and the village of Vezelay lot. We walked a short way down the hill to Saint-Etienne for dinner, recommended by Le Pontot's owners.

I hope you hear back soon. Le Pontot is th eonly one at the top of the town which makes it special. There were others at the base of the town and in the adjoining area.
