Can you still store your luggage at the Naples train station?
I was wondering this in light of recent tightening of security throughout Europe. Our plan was to take the train from Rome to Naples, leave our luggage at the station, and tour the city. Then go on to our hotel in Sorrento and do Pompeii the next day. If we can't leave our luggage at the station we'll have to rethink these plans.

All main Italian stations have manual left luggage offices. The one at Napoli Centrale is on the left hand side as you come off the train. After the terrorist attacks in the USA, left luggage offices at Italian stations had police who searched bags; that was later relaxed, but may be reintroduced: it's very unlikely that an Italian station of that size would have no left luggage facility.
