Can Kindle books be read on an iPad?

Hello all:

I am buying guide books for Galicia from Amazon. I came across two Kindle books. I don't own a Kindle. Can I download and read on my iPad?

regards Ger

I think you can but there is an excellent kindle forum on Amazon. I've used it a couple of times and received excellent advice immediately.

Thanks Jamie. I just checked my iPad, and at some point I DID download the app.

Many thanks Ger

I have my iPad filled with Kindle books. When I dinish feading them, I send them from the Device to the Cloud, listed at bottom of Library page. You need an account an Amazon for payment.

Yes, as you have already seen. But be aware that guidebooks on e- readers are difficult to use, as it's very cumbersome to flip around on the pages. I had mine on my Kindle, as I didn't want to lug around my
IPad all the time. I was very disappointed, and will just take paper guidebooks next time.

Ger, I just retread your post. Maybe you just want to read the books in preparation for the trip.
I was just referring to trying to use the guidebooks along the way while sightseeing - that was the cumbersome thing. It was fine before I left home!
