Hi there,

I am trying to book train tickets in advance from Florence to Cinque Terre (Monterosso). Like a lot of people here, I've struggled with the Trenitalia website, but my question is this: Monterosso doesn't have a self-service kiosk to pick up my return ticket. Can I pick it up at the self-service machine in Florence on the outbound trip? Or can you only pick up tickets at the departure station? (...in which case, I'm not sure how I would get my tickets for the return trip!)

Sonce your ticket just gets printed in the machine, a station is just as good as any other.

At the kiosk in Florence, just get a round-trip (andate e ritorno) ticket - that way you don't have to worry about it when you're in Monterosso. It's easy.

Yes, you can use the station ticket machine in Florence to get your return ticket. Just purchase the ticket as a round trip. There is a ticket window in Monterosso for purchases also.

Be sure to stamp your tickets before boarding!
