Can I get from Helsingborg to Kronborg Castle

We are on a cruise stop in Helsingborg....8:00am to 5:00pm. Would it be possible to take the ferry over to Kronborg Castle and get back to the ship in Helsingborg by 5:00pm....with time to see the castle?

Can we just show up at the ferry terminal and buy a ticket. Do you need to make a reservation? How often do the ferries run?

When we arrive at Elsinore, can we walk to the castle?

Yes you can just buy a ticket at the dock for the ferries that constantly cross the narrow straights here and the boat dock is a short walk from the Hamlet's Cstle - you sail right past it when docking. Helsingor is the Danish name for elsinore - the boat fare is cheap - a whole day is a lot of time you may even want to hop the S-tog train a few minutes south of Helsingor to visit the world-famous Louisiana statue park, lovingly set in a lush park overlooking the Sound.

Located in Denmark on the North Zealand Coast, the Louisiana houses one of the finest collections of international modern art.

Take the S-Tog commuter trains south from Helsingor to perhaps the next station - cannot remember the station's name but in a sedate residential area from where it is a short walk to Louisiana museum and statue park - and really with that much time you can incorporate this easily.
