Can I Get a US Credit Card with a Chip like They Use in Europe?

Jump to last reply

US credit cards use magnetic stripes but I hear that European cards generally use a chip instead, and that many self-service payments can only be made with a chipped card (self service gasoline, ticket machines, bike racks, and such).

Is this true, and if so, are there any US credit cards that come with a compatible chip system?
