I tried to book 4 tickets online from Napoli to Venice, intercity train for April. Trenitalia web site shows the train and price. It doesn't say it's sold out. So I followed the link to buy the tickets. But after I selected the train, and hit continue, I got the same error message all the time "error: enough seat not available". I tried to just book one, got the same message.
Has anyone did this before?
Can I book online Trenitalia 9-Euro Fare Between Napoli and Venice?

You can't book that far out. No more than 120 days. Be sure to register on the Trenitalia website first so you can access all your reservation info in case there are any problems.
Scroll down to the registration instructions.

You might find it a bit easier to use this site: www.lefrecce.it
Dukey - When you use Trenitalia, it automatically rolls over to lefrecce when you search tickets.
I searched a random date in April and either Trenitalia has a glitch in their website or a portion of this train is sold out (more likely a glitch since they just updated a week or two ago). You could book a part of it by selecting Napoli/Prato, but from Prato to Venice, you couldn't or at least not the 9€ special. I wouldn't use the IC train on this route. It takes three hours longer and the IC trains aren't very comfortable (IMO - these trains are more uncomfortable than even the old slow R trains). They also don't have the amenities (snack bar/restaurant) that the AV trains have.
