Calling Flamenco fans including Kimhe
We will be in Madrid from Sept 22 to Sept 28. Our schedule is always changing and I am not sure what night we will be able to see flamenco. If the event we can, what would you recommend? If it also matters we will be staying in Chueca.
Than you in advance.

Some of the best up and coming flamenco artists perform in the second edition of the Flamenco Joven (Young flamenco) festival in the Conde Duque theater in Madrid Sept 21-24:

Alba Heredia dances on the 22nd, she won the prestigious Premio Desplante last year, her definite breakthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xp86ZUy51g
Selene Munoz on the 23rd, one of the most interesting dancers out there, have had mye eyes on her for some years already. Does traditional things, but she also takes flamenco to new territories, and then she can be mind-blowing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L5tsYBKePs

And El Yiyo on the 24th, everybody have been talking about him since he was a kid. Now he's 19. El País last year called him the "Diamond of flamenco dance": http://elpais.com/elpais/2015/06/10/...01_656795.html

And, as always, only great artists every night in Casa Patas, Cardamomo, Corral de la Morería and a few more tablaos, but here the programme will first be published in a couple of days.

And Alba Heredia, who dances in Conde Duque on Sept 22, just got completely raving and panegyrical reviews in the major flamenco magazine deflamenco.com for a performance in Pamplona a couple of days ago. I read flamenco reviews all the time, and it's a long time since I've seen something like this. Seems like this girl's career is rocketing off right now, so here you just have to make room in your calendar.
"She was elegant, tempered and delicate for soleá, siguiriya and whatever else she wanted to do. If her body seems to be a willow, it is because she is flexible, not soft. And when she dared to be Carmen Amaya [the greatest flamenco dancer in history, my comment], the audience knew it wasn't an imitation, but pure inspiration. And she wasn't just flamenco. Alba Heredia brought together the whole Mediterranean with her eyes and her hips. At times she appeared to be dancing the tarantella, she was without a doubt La Capitana, but also a Fellini diva, she was Irene Pappas and Anna Magnani, and with each movement of her hair, which also danced, she represented her entire dynasty. And hardly sweating at all. What an actress flamenco has with this girl. What a wonderful dancer." http://www.deflamenco.com/revista/re...n-fire1-1.html
