Could someone who knows Munich recommend some nice eateries - inexpensive to moderate near the Bayern Museum/Archaeologische Staamslung?

If the Bayern Museum is where i think it is you won't be far from Marien Platz and there are all kinds of choices from the Augustiner, Andechs am Dom, Hofbrau Haus, and lots of places from wurst stands to nice restaurants zt the nearby Viktualien Markt.
Will be working in the area of the musum and will have time only for an occasional short lunch or dinner nearby. Would like something closer to the museum.
Do you mean the Archäologische Staatssammlung which is located near the southern tip of the Englischer Garten? (Lerchenfeldstraße 2). I have no suggestions but getting the location right might bring out an idea from others.
I would try Tripadvisor with your questions as well. There are a couple Munich residents there that routinely recommend local eateries.

You have the restaurant and cafe IN the museum (also accessible without museum ticket) -- assuming that you mean the Bavarian National Museum.

Otherwise the next "hotspot" with many restaurants, eateries and cafes would be a bit south near Lehel subway station. Mostly along Triftstr. to Thierschplatz coming from the museum.
For a quick bite, sandwich, panini or similar there is a SF Coffee Company coffee shop at Triftstr @ Liebigstr. - appr. 5min walking if you calculate from the museum.
For an after work drink, the Roosevelt bar right on Thierschplatz has quite a good reputation.
Yes, I do mean Archäologische Staatssammlung next to the Bavarian National Museum. Am aware of the Lehel subway stop and surrounds and restaurants, etc. as have stayed there many times in the past. Am also aware of the cafe/restaurant in the Bavarian National Museum.
Will be staying three weeks! Hoping there are other local eateries near the museums. Walking for half a mile in the rain that is certain to be there some the evenings, is something to be avoided if possible.
Will try Tripadvisor. Thank you.
