Buying German Rail Pass at the Frankfurt airport

Hello,
Is it possible for me to buy the 5 day in 1 month German Rail Pass at the Frankfurt airport? If yes, I guess I will just need my passport and credit card? Also, where exactly in the airport would I need to go to buy the pass and if this place will be open around 8:00 am which is when my flight comes in.
Thanks much for your response.

There is a train station directly connected to the airport. Follow the red DB signs. The station is definitely open well before 8am. Don't know if you can buy passes there. If not there, then definitely at Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof in the city.

You can certainly buy your German Rail Pass there. In fact it will probably be the right thing to do because the Euro is dropping creating a more favorable exchange rate.

How does the dropping exchange rate have anything to do with whether you buy a pass at the airport or main train station, or any other station?

Perhaps as opposed to buying a rail pass before you leave home?

Do the Math!! A 4 day second class GRP costs 188 Euros in Germany and at today's exchange rate at about 1.23 it would be about $231.00 charged to your credit card. Rail Europe wants $269.00 for the same pass + shipping. I always buy my pass at the airport in Frankfurt. With an exchange rate of about 1.43 and above it is better to buy it here at the current prices.

Thank you everyone for your responses. Very helpful. I thought I had my profile configured to send your responses to one email address when all the while they were going to a different one. Sorry for not responding earlier. Special thanks to haxter1.

Hi musaafir, I am planning a visit to Germany next week and would like to know whether you were successful in buying the German Rail Pass at Frankfurt Airport.
