Better bet is to buy a cheap unlocked dual or tri band phone on the net and then buy a prepaid SIM pack in Paris...or if you already use T mobile you can get a tri band phone from them and ask them to give you the unlocking code (believe it or not they will if you've been a customer for 90 days).

I bought one in France this spring. Went to Orange and asked for their cheapest model. It was 89 euros. I loved it and wish I could buy one just like it here in the states. Went to a corner convenience store and bought 30 euros mobicarte. You pay, they give you the receipt with a code number on it that you key into the phone. Super simple. All incoming calls are free in France. I will be taking it back with me when I go back next week.

Thanks for info everyone.
If the phones are $95 then it would be cheaper to get one here. I assume the sim cards are 30 euro with 20 minutes or so. (I can get a phone for $30 with $10 shipping)
