I'm trying to check the schedule Mad to Segovia for a daytrip either 04/15/2011 or the 16th. It keeps telling me there's no service. Huh???

Possible. It's Easter weekend, right?
Try a train -- fast ones take about 1/2 hour to get to Segovia.
train is easy and cheap: www.renfe.com. Just FYI that the bus to the city will fill up quickly, so get outside and get a spot. Both buses (11 and 32 I think?) will drop you in the city, so don't feel pressured to get on one or the other. Tear off a map from the tourist desk when you get upstairs and then split.
Look to your right when you leave the station! The mountains are breathtaking.
BigRuss is right - that's the beginning of the Semana Santa celebrations, although the real deal doesn't start until Holy Thursday the following week.
Thank you both, Semana Santa was my only thought, but wow!
I wasnted to avoid trying to book another train. I guess it looks like I'm contacting Petrabax again...
@thisblonde,
when you say the buses, are you referring to the ones that take us from the trains station in Segovia to downtown?
there is service on 15th
