BUDAPEST Accommodations[2weeks]

Help!

We are planning a "roots" family trip to Budapest, Hungary, in June on 2015, for two weeks. There will be 11 of us, and we need 9 beds. Our preference would be to stay on the Pest side in two apartments in the same building or close to each other. We would like to be in the center of the city, in an area with restaurants, theaters, and near public transportation . The other option would be to rent four hotel rooms , which would be very expensive, unless someone can recommend a hotel that is reasonable priced. We are not fussy - but it must be clean, have private bathrooms, and a good location. Can you help with suggestions for apartments or hotels.

Thank you in advance!
Susan

This guesthouse belongs to an American friend of mine, historic building in the city center, good neighborhood, brand new inside, occupies part of the second floor with easy climb (1 floor up) and elevator. VERY reasonable. I've stayed there several times.

we stayed in the Marriott apartments, it's a separate building from the hotel and much cheaper... very spacious 2-bed and 3-bed apartments with sitting room and kitchen and in a good central location

Contact John Farago, he is the owner. We stayed in one of his apartments for a week in 2012. He has several, they are listed on web site. John is very knowledgeable about Budapest, he put us in touch with a driver for day trips. He also has a manager in the city who bought us train tickets in advance of arrival. John has a slew of restaurant recommendations. Would definitely contact him again.

Another vote for Budapest Vacation Rentals. The apartments are wonderful and John has extensive knowledge of Budapest.

His restaurant recommendations are very good.
