Budapest accommodation

Looking to book accommodation for studio apartment in November for 4 nights following a 7 day Danube cruise.

Look good - Marriott Millenium Apartments, but they cannot guarantee a non-smoking apartment or
other travel board recommendation for Golden Stars Apartment for a non-smoking apartment.
Millenium are centrally located, Golden Stars not quite so.
Anyone stayed at either?
Thanks,

I don't know when you're going but we will be staying at the Marriott Appartments in about 3 weeks.

I'll report back.

We're arriving by train pretty late and they said they'll have a taxi at the station with a name board. Will be interesting to see how that works out.

I have stayed at the Millennium apts. The best ones are on the tope 2 floors -- they have views over the Danube, whereas those below look into a courtyard.

A very small number of units was created in the historic building behind which this infill development has been inserted.

These high ceilinged units have oblique views of the river -- but the high-floor ones are really the best for views.

Thanks to all for your response. Lincasanova, we will be there in November.

Myer, would be interested to hear your opinion about the apartments and hope all works well with the taxi. Look forward to hearing about your trip in general.

tedgale - Like the sound of the higher apartments....can we expressly book for those?
Any comments on the non-smoking aspect?

Thanks to all

The only place I'd stay in Budapest is the Marriott Budapest-everything, food, pastry bar, location on the Danube, staff, authentic Hungarian atmosphere, beer garden in warm months on the promenade, great rooms and that incomparable balcony looking up to
Gellert Hill-FAB!

Probably not helpful for you anymore, but if anyone else is interested, I stayed at Golden Stars: http://www.perfectplaces.com/vacation-rentals/11701.htm
and I LOVED it. Really, I can't say enough good things.

I also liked the Marriott Budapest. We had a nice extra clean room. The staff were helpful and friendly. It is located close to the pedestian shopping area.
