In May we'll be driving the loop Paris/Reims/Brugge/Brussels/Colmar(Alsase)/Burgundy/Paris. The Brussels - Colmar drive is long so looking for advice on route and possible interim location of interest to visit or possibly sleep.
Thanks!

Well Luxembourg and Trier are both places we love to visit, I also seem to end up in Givet (the town at the tip of the bit of france that sticks into Belgium).
Luxembourg; visit the cliff city part
Trier; visit the Roman bits, Karl Marx's birthplace and local winery
Givet, Nuclear Power station and fortress
You could also cut a bit further east and come down the Rhine a bit and visit the Palentine (Pfalz) and see the extension of the Alsace wine region into Germany.
Trier looks like a good stopover, thanks! Now what about a nice drive from Trier to Strasbourg/Colmar?
Looking for the best balance between fastest route and scenic. We don't want to add much time to the already long drive.
Thanks again
well the Google route on the E25 has some good views even though it is mainly dual carriage way or motorway all the way
