Brussels Airlines - Beware of exorbitant change fees for booking mistakes!

Jump to last reply

Hi everybody. Brussels Airlines did not waive/reverse the change fee of Euro 60 for a change in reservation I made THREE minutes after realizing on the trip confirmation email that I made the wrong booking. Their web service center was closed for business after 5PM on Saturday!! And, once the new booking was made, they did not want to provide the courtesy treatment of forgoing the change fee for what was a booking mistake instead of a change in travel plans. Other airlines (United and Lufthansa) do offer this courtesy treatment. So just BEWARE of the booking dates before you confirm. If you are mistaken, you are liable to pay up - 50% of my week-end fare!
