Brussells moules & frites restaurant location/name?

Do any of you know the name of a special area in Brussells that is very old, has very narrow cobbled stone streets with several restaurants within walking distance from the main square? We ate moules and frites there many years ago and I can not remember the name. Tile floors, tin ceilings, narrow booths, loud with lots of character...fabulous local place, not touristy. Not much to go on but I hope you'll be able to jog my memory. Thanks!

It must be rue des Bouchers.

Chez Leon perhaps?

Chez Leon is what I am thinking too. Rue des Bouchers made me nervous - too many pushy people trying to get you into their restaurants, but I have heard that Chez Leon is good.

There are also some great places for moules & frites in the St. Catherine area. Au Pre Sale is one of the best.

I'm with RayKrebs on this one, but it is LE Pre Sale near Ste. Catherine's Place, at Vlaamsesteenweg 20.

Thank you! It was 20 years ago and the area was Rue des Bouchers...but it was quiet and charming back then. Chez Lion was not the restaurant, however, and after all these years the one I remember may have closed. Looked at Le Pre Sale and may give it a try.
