British Library

Jump to last reply

Heading to London for the latter half of the February half term break (kids 12 & 9); arriving at St. Pancras in the morning (10:30 or so). Eventually staying at the HI Mayfair. I thought we might stop at the British Library straight away since it is convenient. A few questions:

1) Is there an entrance from the St Pancras station or will we have to exit and walk around?

2) Any thoughts on what to do with our bags (two or three 21" rollerboards)?
a) lug them around?
b) store at St Pancras?
c) is there storage at the Library?
d) forget it and try to head straight to Green Park to drop the bags before hitting any sites?

3) Any comments on the special Royal Manuscripts (fee) exhibit? We plan to see the "normal" treasures collection as well.

I'm sure I'll have a few more questions while pulling this plan together. Thanks for your help.
