British Airways - Global Entry - TSA precheck

I just purchased a British Airways r/t ticket to London. The same flights were not available on American, or I would have purchased there. The British Airways site will not let me input my global entry number. When I searched the question, I found something that says British Airways does not participate in Global Entry. Fine, but can't I still go through TSA pre-check lane in the USA? Does anyone know if I can get at least precheck added so it prints out on my boarding pass? When I called the British Airways # and spoke to someone the woman was in Germany and had no idea what I was talking about.

I think they get this inquiry a lot for them to create a FAQ entry:

Thanks - I had seen the bit about Global Entry, but didn't realize it also applied to pre-check.

Very few foreign airlines participate in TSA precheck. Air Canada and Aeromexico do, no European ones do.

I think BA is trying to save a little money by not participating in Pre-Check, kind of annoying especially Virgin is, next time fly Virgin. Global Entry is for immigration and regardless of airline you can go through the short line when returning to USA at US Immigration. This is a current list of foreign carriers on Pre-Check:

Aeromexico
Air Canada
Avianca
Copa Airlines
Emirates
Etihad Airways
Lufthansa
Singapore Airlines
Turkish Airlines
Virgin Atlantic
WestJet

If you happen to be flying in a premium cabin you can use the fast lane.
