Has anyone stayed at the Britannia International Hotel in London? I am booked there with a group of 20 kids, 4 moms, and 4 teachers. Can you advise as to best rooms, best floors, best views?

I assume you mean the one in The Docklands. If so it is a large hotel that often has a lot of groups. I suspect your rooms will be pre-allocated but try for rooms on the higher floors that have great views of Canary Wharf (The UK's tallest building) or The Millennium Dome or of south London. These will also have slightly less train noise from the DLR that runs close to the hotel.
I am never normally impressed by the level of service within the Britannia chain but this is generally an exception with helpful staff.
Watch for lifts that don't work and make sure you know which room and time you have been allocated for breakfast.
Have a great stay and please feel free to ask more questions.
I'm sure someone had a good reason for booking a school group into this property. It is a decent business hotel in the Docklands -- near Canary Wharf and other massive office complexes. But it is a long way from anywhere - you will be spending a LOT of time on the DLR and tube to get to any sites/activities.
That being said, it is a comfortable hotel and IF you got a really good rate that will make up for some of the inconvenience of traveling back and forth everyday.
You will probably need to break into smaller groups for daily sightseeing because traveling in from Canary Wharf as a group of 28 -- you are bound to get separated at least some trips anyway . . . . .
Janis has a good point. You will be travelling on busy public transport systems, especially in the rush hour, and it would be advisable to make sure as many people as possible know how to read the maps and get to agreed meeting points without having to shepherd a large group together. When trains are crowded, you won't be popular if you try to get 28 people together in a single carriage as a group.
A couple of tips - if you need to use the Jubilee Line on the Underground, there is a footbridge over to the station on Canary Wharf: turn off past where they're building the new Hilton by South Quay DLR station. For some trips, of course, the DLR will be a more convenient way in to central London. Another way, but it could be expensive, is to take the boat to or from Canary Wharf pier: www.thamesclippers.com
