My wife and I, and two daughters aged 16 and 14 are planning to come to Cyprus in August. we seem to have narrowed down to two possible hotels - the Atlantica (not Atlantica Bay) in limassol, and the Queens Bay in Paphos.
We are looking for a decent beach and swimmimg pool, and some life without being rowdy. We will probably rent a car as well to see the sights - will it be easy to do out there, or should we do it before we go?
What are the travelling distances like? for instance is it easy to walk to some decent bars/views/restaurants from either of the two above hotels.

I just came back from Limassol .
We stayed at the Le Meridien .
It has a privet beach and all what the 5 stars hotel has .
the island is small .
2 houers from side to side .
the gas for the car is 4 times more then the USA .

the pricess for a good lunch with wine
is 20$ ( you can find at 10$ , but it is
not the same .
The driving is on the oher side , like in England , so be carefull !!!!!

We stayed at a sleep-6 suite that had 2 bedroom , 1 big salon 1 big
yard and a little kitchen .
and 2 bathrooms .

cheap - half price .
