Would like to visit the Imperial War Museum facility at Bovington, England to see all the tanks. On the map Bovington appears to be just norhtwest of London but I have not been able to identify the closest train station. Can you help?

I too have been interested in visiting this tank museum so after reading you inquiry I went in the net and this is what I found. The museum is in Dorset and you take the train from Waterloo station in London to Wool. It seems that the train service is a milk run and take over 2 hours with many stops. Wool is 2 miles from Bovington. Bus, taxi or walk from wool. I haven't checked it out yet, but I am going to check out the time from London to Wareham. Perhaps the train is faster to Wareham which is 8 miles to Bovington. PS- I did the RAF museum which yuo can do by tube to Colindale. If you have not done this you might want to do so.
