Of the options of a Bosphorus cruise, the idea of going all the way to Anadolu Kavagi and having 3 hour layover in what sounds like a over touristy town with no standout places to eat does not appeal. Is Sariye a better option and take the bus back? Not sure where bus takes one to as we are staying in the tourist area of Sultanahmet as our first visit. Also sounds like good walk between Arnavutkoy and Bebek as well as stop at Beylerbeyi Sariyi. Is it possible to combine 2 stops in this area easily with Sariyer? Gather you cannot get off and back on ferry to customize trip.

It has been over 5 years since we were in Turkey but my husband & I enjoyed the cuise to the end. It was a relaxing day. We hiked up to an old castle/fortress-saw the Black Sea and took a cab back to small town. There we had a wonderful lunch and sailed back. I would reccomend going to the end if you have a full day to spare.
I will answer part of my own question. There is a bus, the 25E that takes you back to Kabatas where you can take tram back to Sultanahmet. Bus runs quite frequently. Each time you get off bus and get back on you pay again 2TL but lots of places to see and worth it I am told. Istanbulkart probably good idea. Does any one know if there is a walkway/seaside walk between some of the towns besides Bebek to Arnavutkoy. Has been suggested to eat dinner at House Cafe in Ortakoy. If any one has more suggestions on this route I would appreciate it.
