Borghese Gardens Tickets
Hello - I'll be in Rome and understand we need timed tickets for Borghese Gardens. Is there a particular company we should buy them through since it's online? I just want to make sure I got to a legit vendor.
Thanks so much!

Borghese Gardens is free.
Borghese Gallery is the one requiring admission with reservation.
There is no need to use another vendor. Reserve directly at Borghese's own site. http://www.galleriaborghese.it/

Remember, they have rigid rules. If I recall correctly, you get 2 hours in the gallery, you have to check in 30 minutes before that or you can lose your reservation, and you have to check everything you carry before you enter, and each step (check in, check possessions, wait to get in) has a separate line.

I highly recommend going on a guided tour. Our guides spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable and enjoyable. You sign up for therourjistafteryou enter. IF things arethusa me, you enter under the front staircase. It can be misleading. We did the first tour of the day.
Also, you can walk there easily. Be sure to take the shortcut under the road. You go in the metro entrance that is to the left of The Spanish Steps. As you enter, head to the left and take escalator up.

We were there at the end of May. We did the gallery on our own and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the audio guide. You are only allowed two hours. Perhaps could have used a bit more time, but it was fine. We got there about 30 minutes early, picked up our tickets and then went into the cafe. We did not wait in line to pick up the tickets. After some coffee we walked over to the entrance and waited maybe 10 minutes before going in. Have fun!
