We're an American couple, planning to fly Belgrade to Podgorika or Kotor in Serbia, then cross the border into Dubrovnik.
We're told that, a year or more ago, there could be delays or difficulties at this border. Has anyone crossed there recently?
How about traveling south from Podgorika by land, across Albania to Lake Ohrid in Macedonia--any practical difficulties, comment, advice?

Go to www.visit-croatia.co.uk they have a similar board . we found them very helpful its a great country. if you need more info from me e-mail me margaret_hinkley@yahoo.com
Podgorica and Kotor are in Montenegro, not Serbia. There are regular bus lines from Montenegro to Croatia. At the border you switch buses but other than that no problems at all.
Travel in Albania is better in the south than the north, but even my Macedonian friends fly rather than drive as the roads are terrible and not entirely safe.
