Border controls at Frankfurt for NZers

What if any border controls apply for NZ citizens at Frankfurt when flying London to Dubrovnik via Frankfurt. London / Frankfurt on Lufthansa and Frankfurt / Dubrovnik on Croation Airlines. Reason for query is we have only 45mins between flights at Frankfurt.
Anyone know what terminal Croation Airlines use at Frankfurt?

None at all because both UK and Croatia are non-Schengen countries (Croatia hopes to join by 2016). There will be a security check to go through, but it's pretty quick and efficient at Frankfurt. Croatian Airlines use Terminal 1, same as Lufthansa.

I would be VERY concerned about a mere 45 minute window between flights. Are these part of one ticket? If not, and you don;t make the second flight you are a no show and will have to buy a new ticket at the walk up rate.

And as noted, you should be staying airside - but will have to go through security. I would sit as far forward in the plane as possible - and hope there are no delays.

(Actually, I would book a later flight - but if you don't mind taking risks then go for it. But definitely know the time and location of the next flight to Croatia if you don;t make this one.)

Thanks for both responses. Could be a tad sweaty at Frankfurt. Flights were very cheap.

Not my experience of transiting through FRA several times - the security people are (understandably) VERY thorough and queues can be lengthy.

I had a shortish connection in Frankfurt in 2012 and there was an expedited security line if you had less than 30 minutes 'til your connecting flight. We went through the regular line which I found to be faster than security in Toronto.
