Bordeaux, Paris, Loches:where I stayed

We were a party of three women. We prefer apartments to hotel rooms. Our choices in all three places were excellent so I share them with you.
1. Bordeaux:

This is a well appointed, clean and very comfortable apartment. Thank goodness the apartment manager carried our luggage up the small, tight stair case. He also met us at the aiport 50

50 Euros cost. He checked us into the apartment which had a nice bottle of Bordeaux red and fresh flowers. The photos on the website accurately depict the set up. The beds are very comfortable. The apartment is well located and was very quiet. Grocery, wine, bakeries, etc are very handy.
One issue is parking. There is non available on street and the nearest lot is a 20 minute walk.
Oddly it did not supply soap or shampoo but it is just upstairs from a pharmacie which had both.

2. Loches is the nearest town to the next property we visited.

This is a very beautifully restored farmhouse with modern appointments, including a massive hot tub. The owner, Clarissa, is charming, fluent in English and locally born. She was very knowledgeable about the area and travel needs.

Her breakfast is very good pastries, housemade jams, orange jouic, cereal and brioche. The setting is spectacular and sitting on our patio overlooking her barley fields was a high point on the trip.

3. Paris

Located across the street from the Musee D'Orsay this was simply perfect. It had a tiny elevator so the stairs were not the challenge they might have been as the apartment is located on the fourth floor. Staff member, Clara, met us. She lived in the USA for about ten years and speaks English well. ( fwiw, I speak a little French but neither of my friends does so have an Englishnspeaker orient us to the flat and neighborhood was helpful) .

The apartment was very comfortable and could not have been more conveniently located. We loved it.

Our experiences with all three accommodations were excellent, from the reservations to checkout. I highly recommend them.

Thank you. Your reassurance was what made me settle on the Paris apartment, which led me to the one in Birdeaux.

cmcfong, I thought I'd commented on this back in May. Hmmm. Just re-read my TR and decided to double-check.

A giant WOW to your choices. The first looks especially classy!

What's next?
