Bordeaux area -itinerary for a family?

Jump to last reply

We have two weeks in France, flying in and out of Bordeaux in late June. We will be spending the first week in the Dordogne area but I am stumped as to where we should spend our second week. We are a family of 4 with 2 school aged boys and we will be renting a vehicle for the full 2 weeks. We are thinking about the St. Biarritz area, possibly even venture over into Spain for a day trip. Not sure if that part of Spain offers anything interesting. What about north of Bordeaux? I understand there are lovely vineyards to visit but don't think that will interest the kids too much. Any suggestions for that area of France would be appreciated.
thanks
