Boat tours in Prague, which one to take?

We are currently in Prague and the kids would like to take a boat tour on Vltava. I read lots of negative reviews on tripadvisor and a few good ones. It's not easy to sort them by tour company. Is there one you would recommend? We do not want dinner or lunch but snack and drinks are ok if the tour is good. Thanks a lot.

These are usually just called cruises, not tours. It's just a boat ride if you are talking about the one hour thing on the river. Some companies do have boat trips that go outside Prague to some nearby points. I don't think it probably matters that much, if it's just a one hour ride on the river and you aren't eating. I read good reviews on this one, not sure if it is the one you've heard of or not. they also have one that goes to the zoo. http://www.praguesteamboats.com/prague-river-cruises

Some of the comments on Tripadvisor can't be assessed, as they don't even mention the company and some people have unrealistic ideas of what these types of things are (they are the same in Paris). For example, some complain about the fact that points of interest you pass are mentioned in 7 languages and that is boring. Well, there is no way around that, any company in Prague that has commentary is going to repeat it in several languages because of the visitors from so many different places.

something to consider is a trip to the Zoo by boat. you can get info on the Praguesteamboat link above, takes about 45 minutes to get there. You could also take the metro /bus to the zoo and then get the boat back, could be a nice day trip for you.Don't think they do a commentary but you will see Prague from the river.

several years ago I did the Venice of Prague boat tour , certainly was not that impressed, a bit sedentary for my liking and really only did the bit around Charles Bridge and a little side route to the waterwheel and back , not good value for money despite them giving you a drink and a small ice cream, you also got free entrance in the Bridge museum.
I would like to have done the boat out to the zoo but the last few times I have been in the city I have not had the time or been out of the season it is running. I am back in late October so will miss it again.

If you are looking for a river cruise in Prague, where you can enojoy a nice music with lunch/dinner/barbeque with your friends, then I can definitely advise booking an activity through legendary prague (legendaryprague.com)
I can only reccommend!
