Why bother asking about the jeans - isn;t it just the high heels you're interested in?
(Surely you have something better to discuss? Or perhaps you just need to spend more time with your wives/girlfriends!)

I have a friend who goes to a bar like that, but the men there are planning their outfits for the next Halloween high heel race, which is a drag event.
Really, high heels can be worn with almost anything or even nothing and be fashionably "correct". Take a look at a fashion magazine, or even regular magazines with expensive jeans ads or photos of celebrities.
It does depend on the style of jean, of course, as I do think high heels would look ridiculous with overalls or carpenter jeans.

BTW, Mr Steed, does your wife know about your jeans fetish? I remember your last post was about how terrible you thought people looked that you were watching who wore jeans while traveling on the public buses. I think this is like jeans porn, where you enjoy people writing and talking about jeans so you keep initiating posts about them.

GSteed, ladies wear high heels to make their legs look longer, it is supposed to be sexier to have long, lanky legs. Do you agree?
Anyway, heels can be worn with jeans and look good with the short styles too. I like high heeled boots with my jeans.
Have fun lookin'!

Does fashion correctness allow for Blue Jeans and High Heels?
Of course it does but I suggest you choose the fit of your jeans and the style of high heel with great care. There's a fine line in this arena between looking chic and looking cheap. I don't ever encourage anyone to look cheap.
The overweight should never wear jeans unless the site of overstuffed pork turns you on.

Blue jeans & high heels have been featured in magazines for a while now. And in reality I see it everyday-at least where I live. Why the bet on blue jeans & high heels anyway? Too much beer, eh??

Wow, someone with a jeans fetish! I have lived a pretty sheltered life.
By the way, I was telling some friends (actually, our entire church, it is a tiny one of about 40 people and each Sunday 20 or so of us go out to lunch after HC) at lunch today about this message board. They were fascinated with my tales of "flaming posts" AS WELL AS the wonderful information available on this board. They are all pretty seasoned travelers, too--one 70ish couple just returned a few days ago from a month in Australia. So, Fodors, you are famous in T-Town in middle Georgia---M Kingdom, jeans fetishes, and all.

ira, I think that has something to do with sucking in ones stomach
Wearing jeans with flat shoes or sneakers (ugh) seems to make a person look dumpy and frumpy..something with a heel on it, lengthens the leg and just makes the whole thing look better~

I wear flats with my jeans and never wear VERY high heels. But my flats look right, my Hermés loafers or ancient still in good shape alligator loafers. with a nice cashmere sweater takes me anywhere except a starred restaurant. i lunch that way, i party that way.
I was in a shop recently that had a book about being a woman and dressing quotes. One was by Aristotle talking about Jackie. "She buys so much clothes! But, Where are they? All i see her wear are jeans."
