In September/October 2012 my wife and I did a six week trip to Europe. This included London, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Istanbul, Athens, Nafplio and some of the Greek Islands (Santorini and Mykonos) as well as Dubrovnik, Mostar, Split and Plitvice Lakes in Croatia.
I finally finished off the blog entries and photos for each leg of this trip on TravelPod. If anyone is interested you can check it out at the following link:

THank you for posting. I have had a lovely read of all of this.
gives me plenty of ideas. would love to go to Istanbul - can't convince dear husband.
Nice blog! I've only looked at the entries for Greece so far, but will check out the others as time allows.

Your comments about Superjet from Piraeus to Santorini are very true. Not all Greek ferries run late, though — you can almost set your watch by Blue Star. If you are in a hurry to get to Santorini it's best to fly. If you have the time, Blue Star is a better option than Superjet. I assume you were lucky with the weather for the Superjet voyage, or you would have mentioned that too.
Great blog, thank you for sharing. Which was your favourite place?

What a great report. I have gone back and read some of your other reports and looked at your photos. Lovely!
