Bizarre weather reporting website

I've been watching the weather in Paris as I plan to go there next week. I found this one site that shows forecasts by Accuweather, Weather Underground, and Foreca. Even for today's forecast, they can't seem to agree. Since there will surely be rain, I'm changing my choice of shoes and preparing for layers. From Paris I'm heading to Ghent and Amsterdam and will most likely encounter rain there, too. Check this out:

Happens in US as well, especially for coastal areas. The closer to the water, the harder to forecast owing to wind-over-water effects.

Think about San Francisco, where the neighborhoods facing the Pacific can be frigid and foggy, the neighborhoods facing the East Bay warm and sunny, and East Bay cities like Berkeley or Oakland in the 90's, all only a few miles apart.

Where we live, on a Massachusetts island, wunderground is best, weather . com second, Accuweather about the same, and whatever comes up on my wife's iPad the worst. But it could be completely different elsewhere. Just take the average.

Belgian weather is very changeable. When we lived in Brussels, it was a common experience to have blazing sunshine, then clouds and gusts of cold wind, a downpour and then sun again in the same afternoon. And occasionally some heavy thunderstorms with hail. So all the forecasts could be correct, just not at the same time

Where I live in the Netherlands we are not far from the Dutch met office. Yet the weather they are reported to be having there (some 10km away) can very often be totally different to here.
If I look at several different Dutch weather forecasting sites they also all predict different weather.
I like www.buienradar.nl as I can see when the rain is due that day. Their forecasts are usually pretty good too.
As for what the weather will be next week - that is anybody's guess.

Well, I'm heading to Belgium and The Netherlands following Paris. Looks like I'll see plenty of mixed weather. I live in the desert where our average rainfall is about 5" annually. I should get my fill of moisture. I was hoping to be out and about walking every day to walk off the calories I know I'll be eating.

A little bit of rain is not reason not to be out and walking around - unless yuo mean hiking in the woods and you're talking about a downpour. In my experience you are more likely to run into mist, drizzle or light rain - all of which you can simply ignore - as opposed to true downpours.

I'm coming to terms with the fact that my holiday will not be filled with sunshine. I've read that there are interesting photographs to be taken in the rain -- I'm going to work on it and see if I can be creative. With all the rain lately I'm sure the flowers are all bursting with color.
