Birthday dinner in Salzburg

we will be celebrating my husband's birthday in Salzburg. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant? We don't need anything formal, but good food and great atmosphere or view.

September 12 is the date.

Thanks for any recommendations.

We enjoyed our meal (Aug. 2014, so it was somewhat memorable) on the patio at Johanneskeller (the inside was packed). Good traditional Austrian food served with a smile and efficiently. This was not our original destination but we couldn't get in at another restaurant (Zum Fidelen Affen) and the owner personally escorted us down the street to Jahanneskeller and gave them a hearty recommendation.

We enjoyed our dinner at the fortress and then the concert. I wish I could remember what we had.

Also enjoyed the concert and dinner at this restaurant.

NOT sure what happened to my comment. Oh well

Listen you two. The Mozart concert at the St Peter is a dinner concert. We had fun, as you sit at a rectangular table of 8 and meet others.

We always get to the venue early, because there is/was a line-up before the doors opened.

P.S. We were there for Mozart's 250 BD celebration. There was a third Mozart concert we also attended.

Hi Cindy; I can't remember, but I changed my profile to show my wife and some background.

Will show the concert group sometime tomorrow afternoon

Your wife is beautiful. After reading your profile, I believe you and my husband would get along famously. He loves to play basketball and still plays twice a week at age 58. Congratulations on being inducted into the Hall of Fame!

I second Iris' recommendation of the dinner concert at St. Peter's.
