Biking trip around Lake Constance or along the Danube from Vienna?

I am trying to decide which of these bike trips to do. Which is prettier? Quaint villages, pubs etc

Check out trip reports on each at www.crazyguyonabike.com. I haven't done either but by readng the reports, I think the Danube is better from a cycling point of view. I do really like Meersburg, Friedrichhafen and Lindau on Lake Constance.

Constance is pretty but very much posh houses, villages blending into each other and sausage kiosks. Better on the Swiss side but the prices sky rocket.

Danube is more rural

Have you looked at the Mosel (going West to East with the wind) is very easy and the villages nicely spaced to allow country before the next glass of wine. Also the Elbe starts more rural but ends up the very rural old east Germany.

I'm having problems posting so lets see what happens
