BEWARE EVAN EVANS TOURS!

They may not pick you up for an arranged tour. If so, they refuse to refund or even reply to complaints. They know how hard it is to get money back from them and try to wear you out. Please use anyone else!

I would hope you would pay with a credit card...that way you simply call the credit card company and follow through on their disputed billing error procedure (may be different depending on what country you live in)...

To anybody who pays cash for anything, let this be a lesson of the reason you ALWAYS that means ALWAYS use a credit card for any purchase whatsoever.

Since the OP didn't give many specifics it's hard to know what happened.

I know Evan Evans has been in business dozens of years and is well-regarded. And I used them for a couple of day trips when I was in London solo and renting a car didn;t make sense. They were always very professional.

Can the OP provide more info?

(I don;t want to presume, but one trip I took we waited almost 15 minutes at a hotel for ticketed guests to turn up - including the guide going inside to call them - but finally had to leave without them. Is it possible the OP had a more flexible view of scheduling? Or there was just some clerical error?)

We have also used Evan Evans in London for a couple of tours and were completely satisfied with them.

The OP didn't really give any background on what happened. Perhaps it would be easier to respond if more details were provided.

I have taken a couple of tours with them and only had a small problem once. We were late getting picked up at a hotel and called them and they said they had us listed at another hotel. We had to quickly make our way to another meeting place by taxi and they paid for the taxi ride right away.
