Beth Marciel - Have you thought of buying a book?

Beth, I wonder if you are aware Fodor's publishes a wide variety of quite excellent trael guides.

Participants in this forum are normally quite happy to answer questions. Some of us get a bit annoyed, though, when it looks like we ... and Fodor's are being taken advantage of.

Oh and I resent that you have apparently deleted my various questions - I was'nt aware that there was a limit to hom many questions. The questions I had unfortunately could'nt be pidgeonholed under one heading

I think that all your questions are still here, a bit scattered perhaps, but in general, I don't think that Fodor's ever deletes questions. Especially reasonable ones.

Beth,
If you only posted once or twice with all your questions, waited to see what replies you got and then posted any additional questions you may have then your posts won't get lost - this forum is very active and often your posts will disappear way down the line, especially if there are everyone follows your example and post many queries. This is a free service both for the people asking for advice and those seeking it, so don't abuse it.

Lisa

Beth: One hopes that you are a young person, and overly enthusiatic in your first job. However, you need to learn when and how to back off.
1) All of your questions are still in the forum. As others have states, they are now scattered. Most of them have not been answered.
2) One gets better results by posting a good leading question. Then, adding the sub-questions to it as responses come in. This is a fully acceptable practice.
3) If you truly do not understand that posting 14 sequential questions over the period of one hour effectively flushes 13 other questions out of the first fifty -- especially, if you do not understand that by now -- then you certainly have no right to represent yourself as a compentent travel agent, which you did in a separate string -- basically contrary to the Forum policies against advertising.
4) Form your e-mail address, one infers that you are an employee of the Casto Travel Agency. I feel sure that if you seek guidance from your agency's president whose e-mail address is [email protected], she will counsel you that it is not good for the business when an employee comes across as a complete jerk on a relatively influential, national travel forum.

BACK OFF.

Maybe Maryles would like to hear from some of us who would like to see Beth and her tactics sent elsewhere.

Dear Back Off:

If you are going to post the email for [email protected], you would have more credibility with me if you posted your own.

I do, all the time here. For this heated question, I am choosing not to. And I am not inviting anyone else on this forum to write poison e-mails to beth, maryles or anyone else.

How in the world can someone who holds him/herself out as a professional in a field possibly be so completely helpless when it comes to his/her own travel?

Beth, are you really planning a personal trip, or are you getting us all to help you do your job? Because if you are seeking this info to sell something to someone, I personally have a problem with it. In the future, do a search and try not to monopolize the board, dear.

I apologize profusely - first time user as you say - now understand the rules. By the way was planning a trip of my own - not a clients. I was unaware that we could'nt offer our own services in a chat room - won't happen again. I did'nt post any phone numbers, etc.
