Best way to travel from Monteils, Toulouse to Lourdes then to Paris?

Jump to last reply

Can anyone provide some suggestions in terms of how to get to Monteils from SFO for the first-time travelers to Europe and also our first time using the train?
My husband and I are planning a trip to Monteils, France by the end of August. We bring along my 78 years-old mother-in-law to attend our niece's celebration of taking her first vow at Couvent des Soeurs Dominicaines. From there, our mother wants to visit St. Bernadette's Grotto in Lourdes, then to Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, then St. Peter Church-the Vatican in Rome before we returning home in SF. This is her first time ever to travel out of the country. We want to make our mother happy but our budget is very tight. Can you please give us some advice of what is the least expensive way to travel these routes for three passengers? My main concern is that our mother is not in the best of health. Will the train trips be good for her? The total time for us to travel is two weeks, from Aug. 22 to Sep. 4.

We are looking to take an overnight train from Paris to Rome but we are not sure where to start. Where to purchase the tickets and where the cheapest ones are at ? And please help us with anything else we need to know, we would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much to everybody. KimLethi
