Best way to get to Colmar

Hi! We are flying in from Copenhagen, Denmark to Colmar, France.

1) What is the best way to get to Colmar? Is it from Basel, Zurich, or Frankfurt? I tried Strasbourg but no flights from Copenhagen goes there. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your inputs.

Basel is about 45 minutes by train which run every 30 minutes or so.

Actually the direct trains are once an hour, interspersed with trains where you change in Mulhouse (and take another 30 minutes).

The fare from Basel to Colmar is about 13 euros.

What do you call best way?
There is only a best solution for Friday and Sunday: direct easyjet flight to Basel, bus to St. Louis, train to Colmar.

On other days you may choose between
SAS direct flights to Zurich airport plus train to Colmar (3 hrs by train)
Luxair direct flights to Luxembourg airport plus train to Colmar (about 3 hrs by train)
SAS or Air France direct flights to Paris CDG airport plus train to Colmar (about 4 hrs by train)
SAS direct flights to Stuttgart airport plus train to Colmar (about 4 hrs by train)
SAS direct flights to Frankfurt airport plus train to Colmar (about 5 hrs by train)
Air Berlin flights via Berlin to Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport plus train to Colmar (airport bus plus about 2 1/2 hrs by train)
any flight to Frankfurt plus connecting Lufthansa flight to Strasbourg (rather expensive solution)
any flight via 1 or 2 other airports to Basel (check KLM, Air France, Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines, British Airways, Ryanair)

There aren't many good flights to those Swiss cities or Luxembourg. I think your best bet flying is simply to take Easyjet from Copenhagen to CDG Paris (cheap flight), then get on the TGV train right at the airport which goes to Strasbourg in about 2.5 hours.

Otherwise, you'd have to fly into Frankfurt on Lufthansa or BA and take the train from there (there is a train staiton at the airport), which is a bit shorter train time (about 2:15 total), but you have to transfer somewhere. I'd go into Paris on Easyjet.

Either way you have to get to Colmar from Strasbourg, which involves changing trains in Strasbourg.

I have to admit I always drive from the UK to Colmar as it allows me to buy large amounts of wine and drive it home. I would have thought the logic holds for Denmark.

If you have to fly is there not a flight into Basel from Copenhagen
